The FinLoom connector lets Claude read your financial models, run analysis on your actuals and budgets, and generate board-ready summaries — all in your normal Claude conversation. Built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP).
FinLoom is a financial planning and analysis platform for small and mid-sized businesses. The Claude connector exposes your FinLoom data and analysis capabilities directly to Claude so you can have a conversation with your financials instead of clicking through reports.
Once connected, Claude can pull your P&L data, compare actuals to budget, consolidate across multiple business units, surface anomalies, recommend budget values, and write board-ready summaries — all using the data you've already imported or synced into FinLoom.
You only see your own data. The connector uses your FinLoom account's access controls, so Claude only works with data your FinLoom user already has permission to access. Claude reads your financials and recommends budget values, but it never writes them automatically. You review and accept recommendations in FinLoom, exactly like the in-app AI Budgeter. Claude can adjust your alert settings or start an import when you ask, but it cannot change your actuals, delete anything, or alter your historical results. Multi-shop owners with scoped manager logins only see what their FinLoom role allows.
To use the connector you need:
The connector exposes the following tools that Claude can invoke on your behalf. All are scoped to data your FinLoom account can already access.

On disconnect:
If the sign-in window closed without connecting or showed an error, the most common cause is a blocked popup. Allow popups for finloom.io and click Connect again. If you closed the Intuit authorization screen before approving, just restart the connect flow and approve the requested permissions.
The connector only sees data your FinLoom account can access. Confirm you have at least one P&L model with imported actuals in FinLoom, and that you connected the same FinLoom account that holds it. If you just created a model, give it a moment and ask again.
The connector reads what is currently stored in FinLoom. If your QuickBooks data has changed since your last sync, run a sync in FinLoom (or re-import your latest actuals) first, then ask Claude again. The connector does not pull live from QuickBooks on every request.
Budget recommendations, anomaly detection, and board summaries require an active AI add-on and are subject to usage limits. If one of these tools returns a limit message, you have reached your plan's AI allowance for the period. Read-only tools such as P&L data, budget vs actual, and KPIs continue to work regardless.
Each FinLoom account maps to its own data. If you manage more than one business, make sure you connected the FinLoom account that holds the company you are asking about. You can disconnect and reconnect with the correct account at any time from Claude's Connectors settings.
Access can expire or be revoked over time. If Claude reports it can no longer reach FinLoom, open Claude's Connectors settings, disconnect FinLoom, and connect again. Reconnecting never affects your FinLoom data.
If none of these resolve the issue, email geoff@finloom.io and we will help.
Use of the connector is governed by the FinLoom Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Both are linked in the footer of every FinLoom page and from the Anthropic connector directory listing.
