Getting Started Guide
Pricing Intel
AI-powered competitive price monitoring. Know what the market charges, track competitor moves, and protect your margins with data — not guesswork.
Your First 5 Minutes
1Add Your First Product
Go to the Products tab and add a product you sell or want to monitor. Enter the product name, your current price, your cost, and the category. FinLoom uses this to calculate your margins and compare against market pricing.
2Run a Market Price Lookup
Click the market price lookup on any product. FinLoom's AI estimates the current market price based on product name, category, and available data. You'll see how your price compares — above market, at market, or below market.
3Add Competitors
For each product, add competitors with their name, price, and URL. This builds your competitor price matrix — a side-by-side view of how everyone in your market is pricing the same or similar products.
4Set Price Alerts
Configure alerts to notify you when a competitor changes their price, when market pricing shifts above or below a threshold, or when your margin drops below a target percentage. Stay ahead of price wars without constant manual monitoring.
5Review Your Dashboard
The Pricing Intel dashboard shows your portfolio at a glance: average margin across all products, products priced above and below market, recent competitor price changes, and alerts triggered. This is your pricing command center.

The Competitor Matrix
The competitor price matrix is the core of Pricing Intel. For each product you track, you see every competitor's price, the difference from yours in dollars and percentage, and the trend over time. When a competitor undercuts you, you'll know immediately — and you'll have the data to decide whether to match, hold, or differentiate.
Margin Protection
Pricing Intel isn't about being the cheapest. It's about knowing where you stand and making informed decisions. Sometimes holding a higher price is the right call if your margin supports it. Sometimes matching a competitor's price cut prevents losing market share. The data tells you which decision to make — and when.
Bulk Import
If you have a large product catalog, use CSV import to load your entire portfolio at once. Include product name, your price, cost, category, and optionally competitor names and prices. FinLoom maps the columns and builds your competitor matrix automatically.
AI Add-On: Pricing Intel AI
With AI Pro ($29.99/mo), unlock repricing strategy recommendations based on your margin targets and competitor positioning, market trend analysis that identifies pricing patterns across your category, and price elasticity estimates that predict how volume might change if you adjust pricing.
